Description
This upload contains the 40Ar/39Ar geochronology age determination of sample 33-317A-32R-2W 25/35 (33-317A-32R-2W 25/35) from Manihiki Plateau in Western Pacific Ocean (Manihiki Plateau) and was calculated using the ArArCALC freeware. The preferred age of 116.50 ± 0.08 Ma is the combined age plateau and is interpreted as the eruption age of the sample. Combined eruption age plateau from the three lower eruption ages from Hole 317A. The age determination was carried out on a sample of basalt (plagioclase) in an incremental heating experiment and using the bulk laser heating extraction method. The analyses were run on a ARGUS-VI mass spectrometer and the ages were calculated relative to flux monitor FCT-NM (5A26-21) (sanidine) with an age of 28.201 ± 0.082 Ma.
