| Description | Onotoa Atoll is located at 1¿ 55.8' S, 175¿ 33.0' E and is part of the Gilberts Ridge region on the Pacific Plate. It is 4113 m high with the top at -700 m and the ocean bottom at -4813 m. The atoll has a volume of 11232 km3 and is moderately elongated with an azimuth of approximately 163¿. The edges are irregular and the top is relatively flat with the highest point along the eastern side. A saddle to the south connects Onotoa to Tuba Seamount. |
