Description
Siapo Seamount is located at 2¿ 34.3' S, 175¿ 24.1' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3212 m high with the top at -2200 m and ocean bottom at -5412 m. The seamount has a volume of 1258 km3 and is fairly round with slightly irregular edges. There are five predominate rifts meeting at a single summit. A saddle connects this seamount with the Polo Seamount to the south. Dredge AVON2-D39 was taken on the south trending rift and dredge AVON2-D40 was taken on the north trending rift.
