Description
Ufiata Seamount is located at 8¿ 9.5' S, 172¿ 54.1' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3930 m high with the top at -900 m and the ocean bottom at -4830 m. The seamount has a volume of 3622 km3 and is moderately elongated with an azimuth of approximately 141¿. The edges are slightly irregular with three predominate rifts observed. Saddles connect Ufiata to Pogisa Seamount to the east and Atafu Atoll to the south.
