Tracking the R/V Kilo Moana: The current location of the R/V Kilo Moana during the ALIA Expedition is displayed as an open square in the center of the map. The dial in the upper left side gives the direction of ship's motion (green arrow), the ship speed (in knots) and the direction of the wind is given as a red triangle on the outside of the dial. Further information includes the time of the data given as the Julian day and Universal time, location in latitude and longitude, and water depth. When dredging, the vital wire-out and tension statistics of the winch are displayed as well.
