We dredged Becrux Seamount today (named after one of the stars in the Southern Cross constellation). We got a fair number of samples out of the dredge—lots of sediment and some highly vesiculated basalts. The rest of our day was spent transiting to Acrux Seamount—also a name from the Southern Cross constellation—where we started mapping.
