Walvis Ridge MV1203 Expedition Each time the dredge is lowered new screws are used to chain the dredge to the wire. The screws have a known breaking strength that is less than that of the main dredge cable. If the dredge becomes stuck, these will break and alert the crew before the entire dredge is lost.
