Description
Vailulu'u Seamount is located at 14¿ 13.0' S, 169¿ 3.5' W and is part of the Samoan Hotspot region on the Pacific Plate. It is 4089 m high with the top at -700 m and the ocean bottom at -4789 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 3613 km3. It is slightly elongated in an east, west direction with an azimuth of approximately 85¿. The edges are slightly irregular and multiple rifts are radiating out from a single summit. Vailulu'u is connected to another seamount by a saddle to the west.
