Our overnight dredge on the south side of Nanumanga got us stuck for a few hours, but eventually came on deck with some carbonate-rich sediments and some volcaniclastics that incorporated some small cobble sized basalts. After this dredge we mapped Mau Mau seamount to the East, and given its steep and rough rift zones, dredged it, resulting in a set of mainly basaltic cobbles, some with glass.
