Day 14 - November 1, 2018

Reports

The third dredge got stuck for three hours last night at about 3000 m down! We were able to get the bucket free, though, thanks to the fantastic minds on board this ship. It required moving the ship perpendicular to the dredge trajectory.

We were able to get another dredge in the water at the end of today. After our “break” escaping the storm, it’s nice to be getting into the swing of things. This one came back right as midnight was approaching with a very full load of rocks. Here’s to sawing rocks and describing!
