Dredge 5 came back with an actual knot in the line, which we dubbed the “Dredge Knot”. This must have happened as it was descending/landing on the seafloor; we had barely any samples inside. The knot must have lifted the mouth of the dredge off the ground a slight bit, making it harder for it to grab onto rocks.
Dredge 6 went in and came back out as well today. It’s another one with not too many rocks, but the quality of the basalt is high.
