If yesterday was uneventful, today was eventful. We started dredging Sabik Seamount in the middle of the night and actually pulled it up early because we were worried that we’d broken part of it. The dredge was fine, though, and we actually put it back into the water after retrieving its samples. This gives us Dredges 15A and 15B.
On our way to our 16th dredge target (Alhague Seamount, named for the star at Ophiuchus’s head, Ras Alhague), we went over another seamount we’d named for Ras Algethi, the star at Hercules’s head. The two stars are right next to each other on star maps, so we thought it made sense!
