Hawaiian Volcanoes Field Course 2010 On our way from stop 5 to stop 6 on our first real day in the field, Geoff found our first strand of Pele's hair and we were extremely excited. Over the next week our excitement dimmed as we found mats of Pele's hair at some locations and it became a ubiquitous feature.
