After drilling for more than 60 hours with our first drill bit, it was determined to exchange the bit for a brand-new one. The bit was retrieved and this is the shape in which it was after grinding through 150 m or so of hard rock, actually quite good, with only one tungsten-carbide teeth missing and hardly any wear on it. The outside diameter of the drill bit was almost the same as before deployment and the coils did show only little play, not bad!
