This is a brand-new C-4 drill bit that we will use during Expedition 330. The four lobes have "teeth" of tungsten-carbide which will grind out the hole while leaving the center core (hopefully) intact. This inner core of rocks will then be collected in a core barrel lined with a plastic tubing. This is the tubing filled with rocks that will arrive on the cat walk after the core has been recovered, hopefully 100%!
