Fall AGU 1997 Session Announcement
On the Geochemical Earth Reference Model
We would like to encourage you to contribute to the Geochemical Earth Reference Model session we are organizing at Fall AGU in San Francisco. Please note that abstracts are due September 3 and remember that it is easy to submit an Abstract through the Web using http://www.agu.org. Please send us, preferably FAX, a copy of your abstract.
V11 Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM)
The Geochemical Earth Reference Model (GERM) initiative has the goal of establishing a community consensus on a chemical characterization of the Earth, its major reservoirs, their geochemical history, and the fluxes between them. GERM is developed on line and information may be obtained from the GERM home page at http://EarthRef.org/GERM/. The GERM special session at the AGU Fall Meeting invites scientific contributions to the understanding the earth as a global geochemical system, including reservoir characterizations, global fluxes, isotopic evolution, and chemical cycles. GERM specifically includes all major geochemical reservoirs, from the atmosphere to the core, and it is particularly encouraged to include constraints from physical and from chemical observations or modeling approaches.
