Steep slope of the Hilina Pali region exemplified
Steep slope of the Hilina Pali exemplified. Exposing base rock as old as 50,000 years old. Steep scarp is the result of normal faulting. Ash on top of pahoehoe flow is found to be erupted from the Kilauea caldera.
