Rick in the RadVan
Rick uses C-14 as a very sensitive way to measure how much inorganic carbon (such as CO2) the iron oxidizing microbes convert into organic molecules (such as carbohydrates). This conversion from inorganic carbon to organic carbon molecules is called carbon fixation.
