Maureen and Olivier in the Hydrolab
Olivier and Maureen analyze water collected in titanium water samplers for major elements in seawater. The samplers are placed in the hottest vents to collect water that has been heated by the volcano. Differences between the vent water and seawater indicate how much the vent water has reacted with the rock of the volcano.
