| | Description | | Iroij Seamount is located at 2¿ 6.2' S, 176¿ 12.7' E and is part of the Gilberts Ridge region on the Pacific Plate. It is 3436 m high with the top at -1500 m and bottom at -4936 m. It has a volume of 3485 km3 and is very elongated with an azimuth of approximately 145¿. The edges of the seamount are slightly irregular and due to a lack of coverage, not more than two rifts are seen. To the southwest of Iroij is Tamana Island. Dredge AVON2-D22 was taken off the northern tip of the northwest trending rift. |
