Description
Nukunono Atoll is located at 9¿ 9.7' S, 171¿ 48.8' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3253 m high with the top at -100 m and the ocean bottom at -3353 m. The atoll has a volume of 3185 km3 and is fairly round with relatively smooth edges. No dominate rifts are seen and the top surface of the atoll is relatively flat. To the west of the atoll is a large plateau.
