Description
Taviuni Seamount is located at 12¿ 7.2' S, 174¿ 34.2' W and is part of the Samoan Hotspot Trail on the Pacific Plate. It is a shallow, large, flat topped volcanic ridge. To the south Taviuni is connected to Field Bank, which is larger but has a similar strike and morphology. Savaii is located approximately 150 km southeast of Taviuni.
