Description
Tahanea Atoll is located at 16¿ 47.6' S, 144¿ 44.9' W and is part of the Tuamotu Seamount Trail on the Pacific Plate. It is 3375 m high with the top at sealevel and ocean bottom at -3375 m. The seamount is intermediate in size with a volume of 5638 km3. It is very elongated in a southeast, northwest direction with an azimuth of 108¿. The edges of the seamount are relatively smooth.
