The dredge on Pae yielded basalt with large feldspar phenocrysts (besides the common altered olivine and clinopyroxene), which will be an easy target for age dating (most other dredges have had mainly groundmass feldspar as target). The subsequent dredge on Foamatau took place overnight into August 10.
