Raising the CTD rosette off the deck
Brian and Alexis handle tag lines while Elly directs the crane and winch to raise the rosette and put it over the stern. Tension on the tag lines keeps heavy instruments like the CTD from swinging wildly with the roll of the ship. The lines must be kept of the CTD until it is lowered part way into the water and must be re-attached as soon as it reaches the surface on its return.
