Shimmering water and samplers
Another view of trap 63. Below the trap is a temperature recorder and an exposure experiment. The warmest water found in Pele's pit this dive was 54 degrees Celsius or about 130 degrees Fahrenheit. The surrounding sea water is about 4 degrees Celsius.
