Enrichment Slurries
Suzanna Brauer's enrichment slurries. Growth of the microbes in these bottles has been stimulated by the addition of substances required for their growth. For example some samples receive extra iron to stimulate iron oxidizers, others receive extra manganese to stimulate manganese oxidizers. The growth is evaluated using C-13, a stable isotope of carbon.
