Mark's Vacumized Sample Chambers
This is a closeup of the sample holders that Mark Kurz's group are using to transport the volcanic glass samples under vacuum. They will be transported to WHOI for analyses of noble gasses, such as He, Ne, Xe and Ar, using a mass spectrometer.
