Description
An animation of electromagnetic induction in a conductive cylinder in a uniform magnetic field, calculated with finite element modeling software FlexPDE. Magnetic reynolds number: Rm = 100. The uniform primary field is perpendicular to the cylinder axis. The cylinder is initially at rest and then begins to rotate. The calculation is performed in the rotating reference frame of the cylinder.
