Description
This photograph is of the field lines of a bar magnet (dipole). An 11 by 11 array of small compass needles placed on a Plexiglas sheet are aligned along the magnetic field lines of a bar magnet which is placed underneath the Plexiglas. The orientation of the compass needles show the direction of the field lines.
