Description
This video from the ScienceProf website shows the Earth's magnetic field reversing. The magnetic field direction is recorded in lava erupting to the surface at spreading centers. Scientists can analyze the magnetic anomalies in oceanic crust that has formed throughout history to determine how many times and how frequently the magnetic field has reversed.
