The Earth's Magnetic Field
Description
The video from the
Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center
shows a computer simulated magnetic field reversal. It demonstrates how the northern and southern fields interact and how both fields look as their intensities decrease. Eventually the fields complete a full reversal and the magnetic field lines are in an opposite direction than they were initially.
