This image shows the bathymetry of Loihi seamount. Loihi seamount is a feature in the Hawaiian-Emperor chain and is currently actively erupting. Loihi is thought to be the current location of the Hawaiian Hotspot. Loihi is a growing seamount and will likely grow to become an island.
