Description
In this chart a student finds a familiar analog to the mass balancing problem, by figuring out the flow of their own money as part of their own budget. Spending and income are used here as fluxes because the can be expressed as a dollar amount per week, per month or per year. The amount of money accumulating in a single pot of money is equivalent to the mass of for example carbon in the lithosphere of the Earth. |
