Description
Kalevu Seamount is located at 0¿ 22.0' S, 176¿ 7.1' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3736 m high with the top at -1100 m and the ocean bottom at -4836 m. The seamount has a volume of 4472 km3 and is slightly elongated with an azimuth at approximately 68¿. The edges of the seamount are fairly irregular. The northeastern rift widens into two ridges in the corner of the seamount (-48¿+96). The top of the seamount is moderately flat but not enough so to merit a classification as a guyot. A saddle to the southwest connects Kalevu to Ulu Seamount. The end of the western rift is where dredge AVON2-D30 is located.
