Description
Fanning or Tabuaeran Island is located at 3¿ 49.6' N, 159¿ 9.9' W and is part of the Line Islands on the Pacific Plate. It is 1700 m high with the top at sealevel and ocean bottom at -1700 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 3781 km3. It is very elongated in an southeast, northwest direction with an azimuth of approximately 114¿. The edges of the seamount are moderately irregular.
