Description
Ula Seamount is located at 6¿ 55.6' S, 173¿ 43.4' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3281 m high with the top at -2200 m and the ocean bottom at -5481 m. The seamount has a volume of 1098 km3 and is fairly round with slightly irregular edges. Six predominate rifts radiate out from the central summit. To the south of Ula is Pao Pao Seamount. Dredges AVON2-D50 and AVON2-D51 where taken on the west trending rift.
