Description
Pogisa Seamount is located at 8¿ 9.1' S, 172¿ 39.8' W and is part of the Tokelau Seamounts on the Pacific Plate. It is 3766 m high with the top at -1000 m and the ocean bottom at -4766 m. The seamount has a volume of 1570 km3 and is fairly round with slightly irregular edges. Three predominate rifts are observed, which meet at a central summit. There may be some mass wasting along the northern side of the seamount. Saddles connect Pogisa with Ufiata Seamount to the west and Atafu Atoll to the south.
