| Description | Tuscarora Atoll is located at 11¿ 46.6' S,178¿ 24.5' W and is part of the Samoa Hotspot Trail on the Pacific Plate. Tuscarora displays the shallow morphology of drowned atoll and is 2645 m tall with the top at 0 m and ocean bottom at -2645 m. The seamount is intermediate in size with a volume of 7797 km3. It is moderately elongated in an east, west direction with an azimuth of approximately 96¿. The edges of the seamount are slightly irregular. It lies along the orientation of the Tuvalu volcanic chain between Nukulaelae and Wallis and is located northwest of Combe Bank and southwest of Robbie. |
