| Description | Matutea Atoll is located at 17¿ 1.8' S, 143¿ 10.2' W and is part of the Tuamotu Seamount Trail on the Pacific Plate. It is 1845 m high with the top at -50 m and ocean bottom at -1895 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 3061 km3. It is slightly elongated in a southeast, northwest direction with an azimuth of 118¿. The edges of the seamount are relatively smooth. |
