| Description | Marutea Atoll is located at 21¿ 31.3' S, 135¿ 39.1' W and is part of the Tuamotu Seamount Trail on the Pacific Plate. It is 2710 m high with the top at sealevel and ocean bottom at -2710 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 4697 km3. It is slightly elongated in a southeast, northwest direction with an azimuth of 106¿. The edges of the seamount are relatively smooth. |
