Description
Pillar Seamount is located at 24¿ 58.7' S, 261¿ 47.7' E and is part of the Sala y Gomez region on the Nazca Plate. It is 3035 m high with the top at -435 m and ocean bottom at -3470 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 2767 km3. It is very elongated in a northeast, southwest direction with an azimuth of approximately 67¿. The edges of the seamount are fairly smooth with little irregularity.
