Description
Mayday Seamount is located at 25¿ 9.2' S, 269¿ 41.4' E and is part of the Sala y Gomez region on the Nazca Plate. It is 2255 m high with the top at -495 m and ocean bottom at -2750 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 2510 km3. It is moderately elongate in a southeast, northwest direction with an azimuth of approximately 101¿. The edges of the seamount are fairly smooth with little irregularity.
