Description
Needle Seamount is located at 25¿ 11.6' S, 259¿ 5.8' E and is part of the Sala y Gomez region on the Nazca Plate. It is 2710 m high with the top at -260 m and ocean bottom at -2970 m. The seamount is fairly small with a volume of 2149 km3. It is elongated in a east, west direction with an azimuth of approximately 90¿. The edges of the seamount are fairly smooth having little irregularity.
