Description
SONNE 167 Volcano 34, SMNT-286S-1733W is located at 28¿ 36.5' S, 173¿ 25.4' W is part of the Louisville Ridge on the Pacific Plate. The seamount is 4145 m high with the top at -1160 m and the ocean bottom at -5305 m. It is a large seamount with a volume of 11408 km3. The guyot is slightly elongated in an east-west direction with an azimuth of approximately 78¿. The edges of the guyot are relatively smooth. The guyot consists of two volcanic centers linked by a 4 km wide flat topped ridge. Prominent ridges extend out to the northwest and southwest of the northern volcanic center and to the northeast and southeast of the southern volcanic center.
