Walvis Ridge MV1203 Expedition Jason Dorfman helps retrieve the magnetometer that is towed behind the ship whenever dredging is not occuring. This device is used to map magnetic anomalies on the seafloor, which record changes in the direction of earth's magnetic field over geologic time.
