The lab activity provides a platform for students to improve their understanding of biomes. The lab acitivity is intended to test the students understanding of material, by providing them with a piece of live kelp material (holdfast/root) to sift through and locate living organisms. These organisms will then be drawn and explained in a short description on the in-class worksheet.
