Description
This upload contains the 40Ar/39Ar geochronology age determination of sample 329-U1365E-11R-1W 51/71 (329-U1365E-11R-1W 51/71) from IODP 1365 in Osbourn Basin (Osbourn Basin) and was calculated using the ArArCALC freeware. The preferred age of 90.65 ± 0.50 Ma is the age plateau and is interpreted as the alteration age of the sample. Younger than samples above, and than the groundmass, so it is an alteration age The age determination was carried out on a sample of basalt (plagioclase) in an incremental heating experiment and using the bulk laser heating extraction method. The analyses were run on a ARGUS-VI mass spectrometer and the ages were calculated relative to flux monitor FCT-NM (2A27-19) (sanidine) with an age of 28.201 ± 0.082 Ma. This sample was collected by Peter Davidson (davidspe@oregonstate.edu). Sample Description: Standard full leach + 3 min 5% HF.
