Description
This upload contains the 40Ar/39Ar geochronology age determination of sample 130-807C-83R-7W 48/65 (130-807C-83R-7W 48/65) from Ontong Java Plateau in Western Pacific Ocean (Ontong Java Plateau) and was calculated using the ArArCALC freeware. The preferred age of 111.91 ± 0.14 Ma is the combined age plateau and is interpreted as the eruption age of the sample. Combined eruption age plateau from the upper 5 samples analyzed in 807C The age determination was carried out on a sample of basalt (plagioclase) in an incremental heating experiment and using the bulk laser heating extraction method. The analyses were run on a ARGUS-VI mass spectrometer and the ages were calculated relative to flux monitor FCT-NM (5A28-21) (sanidine) with an age of 28.201 ± 0.082 Ma. This sample was collected by Peter Davidson (davidspe@oregonstate.edu). Sample Description: Full standard leach + 5min 5% HF.
