Description
The figure represents the magnetic field direction and intensity of data collected from samples found across the East Pacific Rise. The G-G, G-M, and M-B lines represent the magnetic time scale boundaries for the Gilbert-Gauss, Gauss-Matuyama, and Matuyama-Brunhes geomagnetic epochs. Each section represents a time period primarily dominated by a reversed or normal magnetic field.
